Online Teaching due to Flooding in Lower Austria
Update for our students: there will be online teaching until 21 September
Dear students!
The flood situation in Lower Austria is still very tense, and important train routes have also been closed since yesterday evening. We have therefore decided to switch to online teaching from Monday, 16 September 2024, until Saturday, 21 September 2024. With this decision, we hope that we can do a little to relieve the overall situation.
If it is not possible for the lecturer(s) to switch to online teaching, the course will be postponed. If you have any questions, please contact the academic cirector of your degree programme.
Compulsory attendance for September 16 until September 27 suspended
In view of the fact that many students are affected and are also needed in more important places, e.g. colleagues in system-relevant professions or in disaster control, the compulsory attendance requirement is suspended for Monday and Tuesday in accordance with § 2 (7) of Part 2 of the statutes.
We would like to thank all students, teaching staff and employees who are providing assistance during this challenging time - be it the emergency services, such as the blue light organisations, or through their commitment in the neighbourhood!
We ask for your understanding and wish everyone affected by the floods all the best!
Best regards
Johann Haag, Hannes Raffaseder, Executive Directors
Alois Frotschnig, Chairperson of the UAS Board
