Wolfgang Aigner joins CDG Scientific Board

Wolfgang Aigner, Head of the Institute of Creative\Media/Technologies, is among the new members of the Scientific Board of the Christian Doppler Research Association (CDG). Together with six others, he was recently chosen to complement the renowned body – we congratulate him on his new assignment!

Assuring the Highest Quality

The Christian Doppler Research Association promotes collaboration between distinguished scientists and innovative companies. The objective is to gain new insights that benefit our society.

In the Christian Doppler Labs and Josef Ressel Centers designed for this purpose, excellent basic research is brought together with complex questions from the industry and economy. “We at the CDG are very glad to welcome outstanding personalities from the Austrian university and business landscape to our Scientific Board once again to carry out the pre-screening of proposals and the selection of international proposal evaluators, to issue funding recommendations, and to supervise the ongoing Labs and Centers as well as their evaluation by international evaluators”, explains Hans Irschik, long-standing Chair of the Scientific Board.

Wolfgang Aigner was recently appointed to the Scientific Board for the Josel Ressel Centers where he shares in the responsibility to assure these institutions’ quality. We wish him all the best for this new task!
