Creative Code Lab 2 (SS2023)

At the end of the summer semester 2023, the students had two weeks to leverage what they had learnt throughout the semester into developing their own websites. Individually, they worked on their website ideas, implemented front and back ends, and reported their results. Following intensive work, the students were able to build creative pages, some of which presented here.

ThreadedTenderly

ThreadedTenderly is an online marketplace for handcrafted fashion and accessories. It is designed to give independent and passionate artisans a platform to promote and sell their craft to people who value high-quality and sustainable clothing and accessories made with love. Any user can buy items but only registered and logged-in users have the possibility to create and manage their offered products. With its detailed product information system, creating and viewing offers has been made especially easy and accessible for users.

ArtWay

The aim of ArtWay is to enable people to dive deeper into the world of art and gain and share valuable knowledge about the art industry and its professional artists in order to improve their chances of pursuing a career as an artist or animator of any category. To be able to use the website, people need to log into their already existing account or create a new one. They are then able to post and view artworks, find many different artists, and share valuable information, knowledge, and advice with each other through the "Insights" section.

BattleChamp

BattleChamp is a simple 2D arena brawler that you can play in your browser. Users can participate in exciting multiplayer battles, taking control of one of many characters to battle the enemy. They can choose multiple characters in the in-game store, each with different stats and skills, letting users tailor their gameplay experience to their liking. BattleChamp offers vast community and social features. One can make and add friends, monitor their progress, and even compete against them in fights. A global leaderboard lets users compare their performance to other players and see where they stand. 

Taskify

Developed by Marcel Haindl

Many students struggle to keep on track with their tasks and face issues with existing to-do apps due to their complexity or high costs. Therefore, a user-friendly to-do/productivity page was created for students. Taskify is categorised as being focused on productivity and task management. It allows users to log in or create an account for themselves. Additionally, they are able to create personal to-do lists and form groups with other users to collaborate on group tasks.
