Rail Technology & MobilityOn Track for a Career in the Rail Industry
With this degree programme, we prepare you optimally for the future requirements in the practice of railway companies, industry or consulting. You can specialise in the areas of vehicle technology, energy supply, management, signalling technology or construction technology. This master degree programme is based on the bachelor degree programme Rail Technology and Mobility but graduates of other related technical study programmes with a bachelor degree are also admitted, provided that they take supplementary courses.

With which degree do I graduate from this master programme?
Upon completing this programme, our students earn the degree Diplom-Ingenieur*in (Dipl.-Ing.).
Which electives/specialisations can I choose in the Rail Technology master?
There are five different specialisations in the master degree programme Rail Technology. Students choose one of them at the beginning of their studies. The modules of the electives path make up about half of the programme’s contents.
These options are available:

Especially the management paths of the programme prepare the students for future leading positions in railway companies.
When do the courses take place?
This master is a part-time study programme, which means that classes are usually held every two weeks on Friday (from 13:00) and Saturday (until 18:00).
In addition, there are two intensive weeks (all day from Monday to Saturday) with mandatory attendance on site at the St. Pölten UAS.
