Course Content
Master programme Interactive TechnologiesYou acquire competencies in the design of user-centred, human-machine interaction including: User-Centred Design, Interaction Design, Software Engineering and Programming, Augmented and Virtual Reality, Mobile Applications, Web Applications, Cloud Services, Information Visualization and much more. In addition to basic skills in dealing with interactive technologies, the course provides the necessary know-how for professional success in the areas of economy, law, management and scientific work.
Specialisation in the masterclasses
At the beginning of your studies, you can choose one of the three masterclasses and thus your individual specialisation. In the masterclasses, you work in small project-oriented groups and acquire in-depth competencies on a theoretical and practical level.
Augmented & Virtual Reality
This master class teaches you to design, implement and evaluate interactive 360-degree augmented and virtual reality systems. It is conceived for students interested in working at this interface between humans and computers.
Industry 4.0
The present and future challenges of the human-machine interaction in the context of modern industrial production take centre stage in this master class. Students learn to design and implement established as well as innovative solutions for safe interaction concepts.
Mobile
The master class “Mobile” deals with the development and programming of mobile applications on various platforms and terminal devices including tablets, smart phones and smart watches. We also pay attention to important topics such as the design of user interfaces.

Interdisciplinary Elective Module
The iLab programme allows you to participate in an interdisciplinary and intercultural project semester with the working language being English.
Focus on the professional field
In the module "Professional Field", you are familiarised with requirements and perspectives in the areas of "Research", "Doing" and "Founding". You are encouraged to deal specifically with possible occupational fields. You can choose between the following areas:
- "Research" in this context means being involved in research, development and innovation.
- "Doing" addresses those professional aspects in which one's competencies are exercised when commissioned by others, e.g. in an employment relationship.
- "Founding" refers to the founding of your own company with independent, innovative ideas, services or problem-solving approaches.
