Academic Director for the Master Social Work (m/f/d) (30-40h)
Your tasks
- You will lead the master degree programme in Social Work with its organisational forms of full-time and part-time
- You will develop future-oriented concepts and be responsible for the strategic, content-related, a didactic further development of the degree programme in collaboration with the management team of the department
- You will be responsible for personnel matters, budget, and quality assurance of the study programme
- You will be involved in teaching and the supervision of scientific papers, and you will integrate research into teaching in cooperation with the Ilse Arlt Institute for Social Inclusion Research
- You will participate in the decision-making bodies of the St. Pölten UAS
- You will represent and advertise the programme to the outside and cultivate contacts to relevant partners and stakeholders
Your offer to us
- Completed master or “Magister” degree programme in Social Work
- Completed doctorate/PhD (or equivalent qualification) with relevant reference to the above-mentioned field of study
- Several years of professional and leadership experience in the Social Work sector and/or the university environment
- Broad-based network in the social sector both in Austria and internationally
- Several years of teaching experience in higher education, research experience, supervision of scientific theses, and experience in the (further) development of curricula
- Very good oral and written German and English language skills
- Proactive personality, strategic and conceptional thinking, willingness for participatory collaboration with a well-established team
