Self-Organised Study Abroad
You can also organise your studies abroad (both inside and outside of Europe) yourself. In this case, you must apply for admission to the host university on your own and also finance the studies (this means any tuition fees in the host country) yourself.
In just a few steps, you can organise your study abroad stay yourself:
- Find a suitable university abroad and compare the study programme with the courses of the respective semester at home.
- Coordinate your study programme with the host university and discuss this with your academic director before preparing your Learning Agreement (detailed instructions can be found on the eCampus under “General Courses” > “Study Abroad”) by the given deadline.
- Register for studying abroad as a free mover. For registration documents, see: eCampus > “General Courses” > “Study Abroad” > item 3.2.
- Independently apply to the host university for admission.
- Finance your stay yourself (tuition fees!)
- Apply for grants:
Information on available grants can be found here.
