Preparatory Bridging Courses
In order to prepare for the first courses, we offer so-called "bridge-courses" for first-year students. In these courses, knowledge, e.g. in programming, is to be refreshed or learned.
Bridging Course: Programming
No programming training yet or still little programming experience? No problem! Take part in the "Bridging Course for Programming" before the start of your 1st semester.
Please note: You must be a first-year student in one of these degree programmes:
- Creative Computing (BA)
- Data Science and Business Analytics (BA)
- IT Security (BA)
- Media Technology (BA)
- Smart Engineering (BA)
- Digital Healthcare (MA)
- Economic and Financial Communications (MA)
Objective
If you have never programmed before, this course is designed to help you get started. Programming basics are especially important in technical subjects/studies. With the bridge course, you can familiarise yourself with the logic of programming in a short time. And thus start your studies well prepared.
When does the course make sense for you? If there was no programming beyond HTML/CSS in your previous education.
Organisation and structure
The course is held using a remote teaching tool and the individual steps are predefined based on our e-learning system. With many small exercises and games as well as feedback questions, you will learn and train the basic craft of programming.
You can register online for the “Bridging Course: Programming” which is held in German and English (see overview of course dates). You can log in using the access data you will receive by e-mail after returning the signed educational contract.
To participate, you will need a PC with speakers/headphones and internet.
