Master Class Mobile
Interactive Technologies
In the master class Mobile, students acquire application- and project-oriented programming skills and become familiar with usability and interface design for mobile terminals and web applications. The objectives are the independent planning and implementation of projects using agile project development methods. This often results in cooperation opportunities with the realms of research and professional work. The members of the master class team accompany and support the students in the planning and implementation to the best of their abilities.
This Master Class is available either in English or German.
Teaching Content
The master class analyses problems in all areas of life and figures out how these can be solved or made easier with the assistance of mobile technology. To do this, the students acquire competencies in the following fields:
- Web & mobile development
- Interface design
- Hybrid & native development
- Usability for web and mobile applications
- Back-end development, web service development
- Application and evaluation of sensor and location data
- IT security for mobile terminals

The following student projects were carried out within the framework of the class:
Tenjin: Web App and Back-End Development
The web app Audience Response makes it possible to carry out quizzes and surveys in a fast and uncomplicated manner. The question management, the live visualisation and the results table are the core elements of the app.
360 AI: Computer, Vision, AI
The project develops a method for efficient object recognition in 360° images. Using 360 AI, objects can be identified directly in the distorted images.
SoniControl: Android App Development
The project SoniControl develops a mobile application that detects acoustic tracking information of mobile phones and blocks it if desired.
MEETeUX: Multi Device Development
MEETeUX deals with questions pertaining to Interaction Design and User Experience Design for the integrated use of media-technology terminals in multi-device ecologies.
