New Study Places for St. Pölten UAS
Bachelor Creative Computing with 40 New Places
“The granting of 40 new study places is a great confirmation of what we have accomplished and shows how future-oriented our educational offers are. The St. Pölten UAS offers excellent programmes with numerous opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration in the STEM disciplines (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) and in digitalisation”, emphasise Johann Haag and Hannes Raffaseder, Executive Directors of the St. Pölten UAS.
In the English-language bachelor degree programme Creative Computing of the St. Pölten UAS, students acquire technical know-how in programming and learn how to apply this knowledge to creative areas such as user experience design, game design, and web design.
Modern Teaching and Learning Methods
“With the Creative Computing programme, we offer a broad basic education in user-centred informatics with many options for specialisation in artificial intelligence, data visualisation, and augmented and virtual reality”, explains Academic Director Markus Seidl. “I am delighted about the new study places as they allows us to better meet the great demand from prospective students.”
Creative Computing does not only have a high share of international students but also a balanced ratio of female and male students. “The diverse composition and the modern teaching and learning methods including project-based learning and coding weeks as well as the modern environment on campus offer the ideal setting for a successful career of our students”, says Seidl.
Graduates have the necessary competencies for planning, designing, and programming at the interface of humans and computers.
