The E³UDRES² Alliance is part of the European Universities Initiative launched by the European Commission, indicating excellence in the field of higher education.

Together as E³UDRES², the institutions are able to pool knowledge, core competences and skills of all their staff and students. With the power of all the individual institutions united, E³UDRES² is able to actively shape and further develop not only its individual institutions, but also the regions they are located in.

Meet the E³UDRES² Institutions

The E³UDRES² European University Alliance is comprised of nine higher education institutions: A combination of unique, scientific universities and universities of applied sciences (UAS). All E³UDRES² institutions are ambitious, flexible, small or medium-sized universities (<30,000 students) and located in a small or medium-sized European city (<250,000 inhabitants) of one of the smaller European countries (<20 million Inhabitants). While being strongly anchored in their surrounding environments, the E³UDRES² institutions never lose track of international trends and are well-connected within the European Higher Education Area.

Call for Applications: The E³UDRES² - Ent-r-e-novators project, together with Politehnica University of Timișoara, are pleased to announce the first PhD Summer School 2025 on Open Practices in Higher Education, held on June 02 - 06 2025, in Timișoara, Romania.

International Project TransSoDia Advanced Digital and Transnational Social Work Education

What about the numbers in E³UDRES²?

E³UDRES² is an acronym for Engaged and Entrepreneurial European (3xE = E³) University as Driver for European Smart and Sustainable (2xS = S²) Regions. Sounds more complicated than it really is - if you say E³UDRES² out loud, you would just say it as "EUDRES" (sounds like you-dress), without any numbers involved.
