Two departments are allocated to the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences:
In five bachelor and two master degree programmes, we train highly qualified young experts in the fields of competence of health and social sciences.
Moreover, we work on application-oriented projects at two research institutes and a research centre.
Tasks of the Faculty
- The strategic planning and exploitation of synergies within the faculty allow for coordinated and future-oriented further development in academic teaching, applied research & development, and knowledge transfer & innovation.
- Due to cooperation between the departments and various bodies in the departmental network (Academic Directors, Heads of Institute, administration, etc.), the university as a whole can react flexibly to changes. The inclusion of various perspectives and the promotion of diversity in decision-making processes contribute to organisational adaptability.
- Through its involvement in the control of UAS-wide organisational processes within the framework of an Extended Higher Education Board (EHL) as well as the initiation of participatory decision-making, the faculty is prominently involved in the implementation of strategic measures. This means that its actions go beyond the scope of the departmental network and promote the integrated and interdisciplinary development and management of the entire institution.
