Data protection provisions for submissions to a competition
Data protection declaration
The subject of data protection and confidentiality is taken very seriously by the University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten GmbH, Campus-Platz 1, 3100 St. Pölten, datenschutz@fhstp.ac.at, responsible data processor. It therefore complies with the applicable national and European data protection regulations. In the following, the University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten GmbH would like to briefly explain the most important aspects according to the applicable data protection regulations.
Data collection and purposes of processing
The automated data processing takes place for the purpose of processing your registration for the competition. This registration constitutes the conclusion of a contract under civil law and makes automated data processing unavoidable.
The University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten GmbH processes all personal data that you provide when registering.
The processing can only be carried out by means of the provided online application and by announcing the required information (fields marked with * are mandatory fields). Failure to provide the necessary data will prevent us from processing your request.
What data is stored?
The Fachhochschule GmbH stores the information you provide. These include in particular your name, your e-mail address, the project title, the project supervisor, the e-mail address of the project members and the project supervisor, the school name for which the thesis was written, and a short description of the thesis.
Withdrawal of the submission
The submission made by you in the context of the web application may be withdrawn at any time, without, however, affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out up to the revocation. If your submission is revoked, all data that can be traced back to you will be deleted. Further processing of your submission is therefore not possible. The revocation must be submitted to the following e-mail address: datenschutz@fhstp.ac.at
How long is the data stored?
Your data will be stored and processed until revocation.
Consignee of transmission
The collected data is processed by employees of the Fachhochschule St. Pölten GmbH, Campus-Platz 1, 3100 St. Pölten, in order to ensure the processing of the registration. In addition, your submitted documents and data will be forwarded to the jury for evaluation. The FH St. Pölten GmbH ensures that the jury members are obliged to handle them with care and that the documents and data are used exclusively for the purpose of the evaluation.
Data security
All data is stored on servers that are operated with a high security standard and are protected against unauthorized access and misuse.

You can assert these rights at the Fachhochschule St. Pölten GmbH as the responsible data processor.
