Data Protection Regulations for Online Applications

As the responsible data controller, the Fachhochschule St. Pölten GmbH, Campus-Platz 1, 3100 St. Pölten, datenschutz@fhstp.ac.at, takes the topic of data protection and confidentiality very seriously and therefore follows the applicable national and European data protection regulations. In the following, the Fachhochschule St. Pölten GmbH would like to explain the most important aspects pursuant to the applicable data privacy provisions.

Collection of Data and Purpose of Processing

The automation-supported data processing is carried out for the purpose of processing your online job application. This application represents the conclusion of a preliminary contract under civil law and makes automation-supported data processing unavoidable.
Your online application can only be processed by making use of the online application tool and providing the required information (fields marked with * are mandatory). Failure to provide the required data will prevent your online application from being processed. In addition to the online application, you also have the option of sending your application via email to recruiting@fhstp.ac.at.

Should the application procedure result in an employment at the St. Pölten UAS, further data processing will be carried out for the purpose of fulfilling the conditions of the employment contract or on the basis of the legal reporting obligations of the Fachhochschule St. Pölten GmbH, which will be pointed out separately where applicable in the framework of the conclusion of an employment contract.

Which Data Are Stored?

We store all information provided by you within the framework of the online application process.

For How Long Are the Data Stored?

In the event that your application is rejected, the data provided will be deleted within six months of the conclusion of the application process unless you have agreed to a longer storage.

Should your application result in an employment at the Fachhochschule St. Pölten GmbH and consequently in the conclusion of an employment contract, your data will be transferred to your personnel file. You will be informed separately about the legal consequences of concluding a contract of employment.

Storage of Your Application for Future Consideration

In case you would like your application to be kept for future consideration for a period of one year, you are welcome to send an email to recruiting@fhstp.ac.at. You can withdraw your consent at any time in writing to recruiting@fhstp.ac.at or via mail. This does, however, not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

Data Recipients

The collected data will be used by the employees of the Fachhochschule St. Pölten GmbH, Campus-Platz 1, 3100 St. Pölten, for the above-mentioned purposes.

For the administrative processing of the above-mentioned purpose, the data will also be processed by the employees of Hochschulen Holding GmbH, Campus-Platz 1, 3100 St. Pölten, email: datenschutz@fhstp.ac.at. All employees are subject to data confidentiality.

In addition, your data will be transmitted to Sage GmbH, 1020 Vienna, Stella-Klein-Löw-Weg 15, email: info@sage.at, as the data processor for storage and administration.
The Fachhochschule St. Pölten GmbH selects its data processors with the utmost care and ensures within the framework of a processing contract that transmitted personal data are only processed by the data processor as ordered.

Data Security

All data are stored on servers that are operated with high security standards and are protected against misuse and access by unauthorised persons.

The St. Pölten UAS only enters into processor contracts with companies that ensure that they process data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation and thus meet high security requirements.

Other Data Subject Rights

Furthermore, we would like to inform you about the following rights:

  • The right to access the stored personal data
  • The right to rectification, erasure, or restriction of processing of your personal data
  • The right of data portability
  • The right to object to the storage of data for future consideration, without this affecting the lawfulness of the previous data processing

All data subjects can make use of these rights by responding to the Fachhochschule St. Pölten GmbH as the responsible data controller.
