Why do I have to confirm my attendance by signing an attendance list?
For the minimum attendance requirements in courses, please refer to the implementing rules in the examination regulations of the respective study programme. A failure to fulfil the attendance requirement has consequences for the successful completion of the course. Further information can be found in the
Statute Part 2 “Study Law”.

When/how can I register for optional subjects?
At the beginning of every semester, the Campus and Study Centre (CSC) sends the lists of available optional subjects to all students via e-mail. If you are interested, you can register at
cis.fhstp.ac.at / My CIS / My registrations. Payment is made by bank transfer. If the required minimum number of participants is achieved, you will receive an automatically generated e-mail containing the bank details.
I have a disability / chronic illness and I need a different examination method. What do I need to take into account?
To allow for accessible studying for students with special needs, lecturers and staff members of the UAS are informed and involved and necessary modifications are made, e.g. measures to counterbalance disadvantages during admission procedures and exams. Please make sure
to contact us in good time to enable us to take your individual needs into account.
Where can I turn in case of complaints against exams?
Complaints concerning formally incorrect exams can be filed with the Academic Director. If you wish to complain about a decision taken by the Academic Director, the
UAS Board is the point of contact for you. The student representatives of the
Students’ Union (ÖH) at the St. Pölten UAS offer support in both cases.
Where can I find a navigation guide for the Campus St. Pölten?
I have childcare responsibilities and need access to the Parent-Child Room. Whom do I contact?
The UAS offers a Parent-Child Room in building A:

via email. When it comes to external persons, the Campus and Study Center keeps a pool card that can be borrowed for this purpose. Please find the

What does the technical equipment of the seminar rooms and lecture halls include?
All seminar rooms are equipped with a PC, big monitor, audio system as well as connections for your laptop.
How do I behave in case of an emergency?
Please keep calm, leave the building along the fastest route, and go to the assembly point. Every classroom contains a plan of escape routes. Use the closest emergency stairs and avoid the main staircase in the hall.
What do I do if first aid measures are needed?
There are emergency centres (marked red) next to the coffee and beverage vending machines on all floors. These are equipped with all necessary information, telephone numbers, a fire extinguisher and first aid kit as well as a modern public access defibrillator.
What can I get UAS templates for scripts and presentations?

Are there any guidelines for language / communication? How do I use inclusive language?
A
manual for inclusive communication helps – and obligates – all students to use non-discriminatory language, for example by actively avoided gender-specific wording. The St. Pölten UAS recommends neutralising gender. Wherever this is not possible, we give priority to using the asterisk (*).
I have lost my Campus Card / my Campus Card is damaged. Who can help?
You can request the issue of a new Campus Card at the Campus and Study Centre (against a processing fee of 10 EUR). Alternatively, the CSC will make sure that the damage is repaired if possible.
How do I charge my print and copy credit?
You can charge your Campus Card using the moneyloader in the copy area in Building A (Ground Floor).
Can I request the initial credit on my Campus Card to be paid out?
No, the initial credit is not paid out. Once you have completed your studies, the remaining money will be credited to your bank account. Please make sure to keep your bank details updated in the CIS.
When/how can I apply for a parking permission?
The Campus and Study Center (CSC) will send you an e-mail indicating when and how you can apply for a parking permission. The Austrian Students’ Union (ÖH) at the St. Pölten UAS and the CSC then distribute the permissions among the applicants by draw. The students drawn are automatically sent a payment request.
Please note that the parking permission will only be activated after submission of a payment confirmation.
I have a disability and need a parking space. Whom can I turn to?
Upon presentation of your disability card, the Campus and Study Centre will provide you with a parking permission for the entire duration of your studies against payment of a one-time deposit of 10 EUR.Students with disabilities can use the specially marked spaces on the UAS car park.
Where can I hand in lost items or ask whether something has been found?
The CSC operates a lost-and-found office.
How can I make a reservation for a learning space?
A learning space is available for reservation only if the seminar rooms are not occupied by courses. Reservations can be made through your study year representative. If you wish to make a reservation at short notice, please contact the CSC.
Year representatives can open the seminar rooms with their Campus Cards. If you are not a year representative, you can get an access authorization for the duration of the reservation upon request at the CSC.

In order to apply for federal aid for students, the required documents are to be submitted to the Austrian Study Grant Authority in Vienna. You can request these documents at
