2 Completed Programmes – 2 Academic Degrees
Dual degree programmes allow students to complete two programmes at once – and earn two degrees.
This option is currently available for the following study programmes:
Rail Technology and Mobility (BA) – with the MIIT Moscow, RU1
Cooperation suspended due to the current situation
As a student of the St. Pölten UAS, you have the opportunity to acquire a bachelor degree from the Moscow State University of Railway Engineering (MIIT) in addition to the BSc in Rail Technology and Mobility.
After successfully completing your 4th and 5th semesters at the MIIT in Moscow, you write two final theses – one for each university – and take the final exams at both institutions. The language of instruction at the MIIT is Russian.
Digital Marketing & Communication (MA) – with Pyatigorsk State University, RU1
Cooperation suspended due to the current situation
Since the winter semester 2018/19, students of the St. Pölten UAS’ master degree programme Digital Marketing & Communication and students of the PSU’s master degree programme Advertising and Public Relations have had the opportunity to spend a year at each other’s partner institution, thereby achieving degrees from both universities.
Every year, 3 students from St. Pölten and 3 from Pyatigorsk can participate in the Dual Degree programme that allows them to combine their stay abroad with a second university degree.
Digital Media Production (MA) – with the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW Hamburg)
Since the winter semester of 2020/21, the opportunity to obtain an international Dual Degree has been offered between the master degree programme Digital Media Production of the St. Pölten UAS and the master degree programme Sound – Vision – Games of HAW Hamburg. Successfully completed study semesters are recognised at the respective partner university according to the established processes based on certificates (transcript of records). Requirements for receiving the Dual Degree in the form of the academic degrees “Dipl.-Ing.“ from the master degree programme Digital Media Production and “MA” from the master degree programme “Sound – Vision – Games” are:
