Seal of Approval for Workplace Health Promotion
As part of the workplace health promotion programme “FHit!”, the St. Pölten UAS promotes an environment that enables employees to work in a healthy and motivated manner. For this, the UAS has received the seal of approval for “workplace health promotion” from the Austrian Health Insurance Fund.
HR Excellence in Research
The St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences is now part of the European Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R) serving the purpose of improving the working conditions of researchers in Europe. Within the framework of the programme, the St. Pölten UAS developed a set of measures and has now been honoured with the distinction “Human Resources Excellence in Research” for these measures as well as the first steps towards their implementation. As a consequence, the UAS is entitled to use the HRS4R logo.
The European programme is based on the “European Charter for Researchers” and the “Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers”. The charter is a set of general principles containing recommendations of the European Union for the improvement of researchers’ working conditions and career prospects. The HRS4R project is currently being implemented at our university. In the course of this process, the most important principles for the recruitment of researchers have been laid down in the OTMR policy and the catalogue of planned measures has been published in the action plan.
Family-friendly university quality seal
St. Pölten UAS is a family-friendly place to study and work - this is confirmed by the basic certificate of the ‘University and Family’ initiative of the Federal Ministry for Women, Family, Integration and Media. We offer employees and students free childcare at certain times, for example during Holy Week or the summer holidays. Employees also have additional days off on Good Friday and from 24 to 31 December each year. Depending on the area of activity, a flexitime model and the option of remote working ensure the greatest possible flexibility. A parent-child room is available to families on the St. Pölten campus as a place of retreat. The St. Pölten UAS will continue to take targeted steps to improve the compatibility of family and professional life in the future.
