Professur Applied Machine Learning (m/f/d) (30-40h)
Your tasks
- You hold courses and carry out teaching research projects including the supervision of scientific final theses
- You coordinate the use of external lecturers
- You actively contribute to the strategic and content-related further development of our teaching offers
- You are involved in research projects, independently carry them out, manage work packages, or take over projects in your area of research and strategically develop them further
- You actively contribute to the acquisition of projects (funding proposals, contract research) and implement them in collaboration with colleagues from the IC\M/T
- You independently publish scientific results, hold presentations within the specialist community, and are actively involved in shaping knowledge transfer at various levels
- You actively participate in the operational design of the degree programme (admission, examinations, etc.)
Your offer to us
- Completed degree in Informatics or a similar discipline (PhD or comparable qualification)
- Very good programming skills in script and high-level languages; minimum requirement: Python and C#; experiences in mobile programming and full-stack web technologies are an advantage
- In-depth application-oriented knowledge in one of the following areas: Computer Vision, NLP, GenAI
- At least 5 years of professional experience (national/international); at least 3 years of that outside of higher education
- Teaching and research experience at the higher education level
- Experience in the assessment of scientific texts and papers as well as in the implementation of research projects (research proposal and project acquisition)
- Very good oral and written English language skills; German is not a prerequisite
- Exact and independent work style, strong organisational skills, team spirit
