Active Citizenship: How to Organize Climate Action

Lecturers: Ramona Mauthner & external lecturer | Time: 4:20 - 5:55 p.m.

The University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten is excited to host a public lecture series on "Sustainable Futures" in the winter semester of 2024/25.

In order to combat the climate crisis, far-reaching, systemic changes are needed in almost all areas of our lives. The ability to implement these necessary changes lies with decision-makers in organisations, companies and politics.

  1. How does one create political pressure?
  2. Why does it take an active and engaged civil society to fight the climate crisis?

Speakers equipped with real-life experience (coming from Fridays For Future and Last Generation Austria) will explain which strategies and types of action are used in the climate movement, which concepts are promising, and how each of us can become active as well.

  • Language: English
