The University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten is excited to host a public lecture series on "Sustainable Futures" in the winter semester of 2024/25.
The following topics will be discussed:
- Food Consumption
Examines the environmental impact of food groups, sustainable diet principles, and food waste. Discusses barriers and opportunities for more sustainable diets. - Challenges for Future Electricity Systems
Explores Austria's energy mix, electrification impacts, and strategies for managing challenges in future energy systems. - Sustainable Consumption
Focuses on reducing waste, reusing products, and recycling materials to promote a circular economy. Emphasizes mindful consumption and choosing products designed for longevity and repairability.

Everyone is welcome! Students, faculty, and the public are invited to attend. The lectures, mostly in English, feature experts sharing diverse perspectives on sustainability, with additional practical insights from external professionals.
Employees and external guests can join without registration. Students should register via CIS by September 12, 2024.
