2024 in Review

The Center for Digital Health and Social Innovation (CDHSI), together with the Institute for Health Sciences (IGW), the Institute for Creative\Media/Technologies (ICMT), and the Ilse Arlt Institute, looks back on an incredibly successful year in 2024. Our research focused on topics such as #Gait and Movement Analysis, #Digital Biomarkers, #Machine Learning, #Augmented and Virtual Reality, and #ValueBasedHealthcare.

Highlights of the year include:

  • Thirteen papers published in high-impact journals
  • Twelve presentations at international conferences
  • Two book contributions
  • Winning first place at the “eAward 2024” in the category “Machine Learning and AI”

Interdisciplinarity as the Key to Success

All projects share a common denominator: experts from technical fields like Machine Learning, Data Science, Virtual & Augmented Reality, or Sonification work closely with experts from health and social sciences. The amount of high-quality scientific output is remarkable and underscores the overall strategy of FH St. Pölten: “We expand our research by increasing our interdisciplinary focus.” The overall strategy for 2025 of FH St. Pölten can be read on our website.

We congratulate all researchers on these outstanding achievements and look forward to more groundbreaking research in 2025. Find here the latest publications of the CDHSI.
