Annual Report of the St. Pölten UAS

In 2021, the St. Pölten UAS celebrated two important milestones with its 25th anniversary and the opening of the new Campus St. Pölten. With a total revenue of more than 36 million euros, it was also a successful business year in the areas of teaching, research, and knowledge transfer. 2021, a year of milestones: The completion and opening of the new Campus St. Pölten marked an important step in the further development of the St. Pölten UAS. Additionally, in 2021, the UAS celebrated its 25th anniversary with a glance into the future. 25 Ideas for Future were developed and presented by students, staff members, and cooperation partners.

“2021 was an extremely successful year for the St. Pölten UAS. As a future-oriented educational institution and place of innovative teaching, we contribute significantly to the further development of the region”, emphasises Gernot Kohl, Executive Director of the St. Pölten UAS.

Ideal Teaching and Working Environment

“The new campus gives us every opportunity to respond to the challenges of a changing teaching and working environment. We can thus offer students, teachers, researchers, and all staff members an ideal environment”, says Johann Haag, Chief Operation Officer of the St. Pölten UAS.

Promoting the Potential of the Regions

“As a European University, it is our aim to identify and promote the potential in Austrian and European regions. In 2021, we were able to further intensify the exchange with our partner universities, cooperation partners and companies and position ourselves among the top European universities with E³UDRES²”, emphasises Hannes Raffaseder, Chief Research and Innovation Officer at the St. Pölten UAS.

Facts and Figures

With total revenue of 36.1 million euros in 2021, the UAS was also able to complete a successful business year. 4.1 million euros were related to projects in the areas of research, development, knowledge transfer, and innovation. This corresponds to more than ten percent of total revenues. The development of student numbers was also gratifying. 3,688 students were enrolled in the study and further education programmes at the St. Pölten UAS in 2021, which are 4% more than in 2020.
