Work Experience and Study in the Dual University Study Programme

Smart Engineering is organised as a part-time and dual study programme – work experience and study are more closely integrated than on conventional part-time programmes. Work placements and theoretical training blocks at partner companies are an integral part of the curriculum.

Depending on the current employment relationship, there are two variants:

Variant 1: Your employer as a training partner

If you already work in a producing company or for an Industry 4.0 solution provider, you can remain in your employment relationship and complete the practical-training blocks in your own company. If your employer is not a partner company of St. Pölten UAS, your company can become a training partner after being examined by the study-programme management.

Variant 2: You become an employee in one of our training-partner companies

School leavers or interested people without relevant work experience are supported by us at the beginning of studies in the search for a suitable company. The practical-training blocks are completed with the new employer from the third semester parallel to the studies. See a list of our partner companies
