International
Bachelor programme Rail Technology and MobilityToday‘s rail sector is more international than ever. International providers using the Austrian rail network have become just as commonplace as the fact that trains no longer change locomotives or personnel at national borders. Students of the bachelor degree programme receive the best possible preparation for these circumstances:
Semester Abroad
Within the framework of their studies, students can spend a semester abroad at a partner university from their 3rd semester. The semester abroad enriches the study experience from a programme-specific and personal point of few and gives our students an additional edge in the labour market. The study programme of the host institution offer a meaningful and interesting addition.
Internship Abroad
At some point up to their 5th semester, the students complete a vocational internship of at least eight weeks. Of course, a suitable internship can also take place abroad.
Foreign Language Classes
In the bachelor degree programme Rail Technology and Mobility, the students acquire rail and business English language skills at the level of international certificates from their 1st to 6th semesters.
Furthermore, several courses are taught in English.
Courses with International Orientation
A large number of courses offered address the internationalisation in the railway sector – in legal, economic, and technical terms.
International Guest Lecturers
Several of our courses are taught by international guest lecturers. These experts with strong ties and networks in the rail sector contribute important perspectives across borders to the classes. Within the framework of the International Week, renowned international guest lecturers offer interesting insights in and outlooks on the international rail industry as well as networking opportunities.
International Railway Operation Week
As part of your studies, you get to spend one week at a training partner company from the rail sector in another country where you work out differences between railway systems through practical applications such as simulation systems. In this way, you get to know the requirements of international rail transport through a hands-on approach.
